Four polar patterns, a vintage-style brass capsule, two bass cuts and two pads, and the most adaptable shockmount around - the 4400a is pure modern classic.
Much like a few particularly well-known classic European condensers, the 4400a is a true all-rounder. You can put it up on just about anything and it'll sound great.
Unfortunately for many studio owners, those "classic condensers" are often not what they used to be. Capsule designs change over time, capacitors dry out, metal switches are replaced with plastic buttons and LED's, and the mics that were once so versatile are now mere shadows of their former selves.
As with all sE mics, the 4400a's back-to-back brass-ringed capsules are hand-built and hand-tuned by our skilled technicians, just like any fine musical instrument.
The flat, round-edged chassis design and custom suspension mount allow the mic to be centred within the shock, flipped around and used flat against a drum head or guitar cab, or angled outwards and pushed through inside of a kick drum. And at less than 3/4" thick, it fits neatly in the palm of your hand, but is built to take a beating on the road.
The mic has a unique, black, non-reflective, non-marking, rubberised finish which is ideal for live stage, theatre, TV and broadcast applications which require lighting.

We want you to have a positive experience shopping with us, so we offer a 30 day returns policy should the product not be suitable.
Simply open a return request from your account on our site, or contact us by phone or email. We will then provide an RA (return authorisation) number and instructions on where to send the parcel.
Please note, returns are only accepted if the goods are unopened, with all packaging and any seals unbroken. If you've used or opened the product, we cannot sell it as new. I'm sure you'd agree when buying something you expect it to be brand new! The refund or credit will be minus our shipping and admin fees
Some items are exluded from this returns policy, including any product that may present hygeine issues. These products are deemed excluded at our discretion.
All products sold by this site come with a guarantee to be free of defects, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
However, please choose carefully as refunds are not usually provided when you have simply changed your mind, found it cheaper elsewhere, or made a wrong selection.
